Art In The Barn – Information Package
Are you a budding artist looking to showcase your talent to the world? Applying to an art show is a fantastic way to gain exposure and recognition for your work. The City of Stratford, in partnership with Kind-heARTed Studio, is excited to host Art in the Barn: Huron Perth Youth Art Show. It aims to provide a platform for young artists to share their creativity with the community while fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment. By inviting students to submit their artwork and showcasing their talents in a public exhibition, we hope to inspire and support the next generation of artists in our city.
The Youth Art Show will be open to children/teens/young adults who reside in Huron-Perth Counties in the following categories:
• ages 6-9; ages 10-13; ages 14-17; and, ages 18-23
• Each participant may submit three artworks
• The deadline for submission of artwork will be March 25, 2025
• The art show will take place June 7th, 2025, event is from 1pm – 6pm
• All artists who are selected will be invited to attend the opening celebrations at 1pm
on June 7th
• Classes will be offered throughout the day by local artist
How to Apply:
1. We are now accepting artwork of any medium (painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, pencil crayon, watercolour etc).
2. There is no fee to participate
3. You may submit 3 pieces to be accepted for the art show. Take high-quality photographs or scans of your artwork for submission purposes.
4. Include your name, age, address, title of art work, size, medium (water colour, acrylic paint, mixed media) for each artwork. Please send all photos and information to artinthebarn.hp@gmail.com.
5. Artworks may be sold, please include: whether you’d like it to be for sale; approx. cost of artwork; contact information.
6. The deadline to submit artwork is March 25, 2025 by noon. Submissions must be made via email. 7. Selected artists will be notified by the second week of April.
8. We encourage those selected to attend the art show with their families and relatives.
